Conjugal Visit

Parvaneh (Parinaz Izadyar) is a young woman whose father is in prison for theft, and whose brother—a former Strongest Man contestant—is now a fugitive in debt. She spends her days tending her father’s apothecary shop in a suburban neighborhood and secretly stays in touch with him through a smuggled phone, held by his cellmate, Farhad (Hootan Shakiba)—a former English teacher, respected in prison for his intellect and gentleness. ​

Through brief, charged conversations, Parvaneh and Farhad form a quiet connection that deepens into romance. They marry, and for a time, hope feels possible. But when Parvaneh finds Farhad’s hand broken from a violent confrontation, she learns he’s entangled in a dangerous deal with a powerful inmate—a deal that now threatens them both. Farhad insists he never meant to involve her, but when he reveals he’s expected to smuggle drugs into the prison, Parvaneh faces a devastating choice. ​

Driven by love, fear, and the dream of a better life, she begins helping him—smuggling small packets of drugs during conjugal visits. Yet as their criminal bond deepens, so does her doubt: is she helping the man she loves, or being used by someone who never truly loved her?​
