Ghamar Taj
The Qashqai tribe of Fars, Iran, has kept its traditions, which are the heritage of its ancestors. However, the kinship and family solidarity seen in the tents have been endangered by teenagers being cut off from their families, staying away from their relatives, and joining the urbanization seen in today's young society. This has created many problems for the elderly today.
Ghamar Taj is a ninety-five-year-old woman from the Qashqai tribe of Fars who still lives as a tent dweller. Ghamar Taj lives in a tent with her husband Ebrahim. Ebrahim has suffered from an acute illness that has attracted all the attention of Ghamar Taj, because her only companion is Ibrahim, her spouse. Her children have long since left the tribe and settled in the city, and she can only communicate with them by mobile phone. One or two of Ghamar Taj's children ask her to come to the city and live with them. Ghamar Taj, who is used to living in a tent and whose life is intertwined with this way of living, has no desire to live in the city and says, "I am a child of this plain and tribe, and if I live in a city, I will get sick and it will not take long for me to pass away." But Ebrahim's illness worries her. Ghamar has been taking Ebrahim to the doctor for long-term treatment, but his condition is still unfavorable. She starts treating him with the traditional method.
