As Lake Urmia slowly vanishes, a group of resilient elders remain in the fading villages, witnessing the loss of a once-thriving ecosystem, and holding on to the last traces of life in a rapidly changing world.

Arash is in prison on charges of murdering his fiancée, Lida, and is awaiting his trial. He swears to his mother, Fereshte, that he is innocent. Fereshteh, with the help of Arash's lawyer and one of his friends, Behrouz Sajedi, seeks to gather evidence to prove his son's innocence.​
