Mehdi Zarei
The Zarei brothers were born in 1983 in Shiraz. They began their artistic activities in theater (writing, directing, acting, and scene design) in 1998 and made their first short film in 2004. After some time, they continued their work in documentary and fiction cinema.
Work Experience:
- Theater stage design and three-time best stage design award from the Fajr Theater Festival in Fars province in 2005
- Production of the documentary film "Sasanian Glory," commissioned by the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization of Fars Province in 2007
- Made 16 documentary films and broadcast them on Channel 4 and Documentary Channel from 2007 to 2011
- Producer and director of the 5-part documentary series "Tardestan" for Documentary Channel in 2011
- Editing, directing, and producing 5 ethnographic documentary films for Documentary Channel in 2012-2013
- Production of the feature-length documentary "Chokha" and participation in the Image of the Year festival
- 5 performance art pieces and production of 10 video artworks (.Box Festival in Italy and Greece)
- Production of the documentary film "Ana" commissioned by Documentary Channel
- Production of the feature-length documentary "Ending" in 2017, which received attention from critics and domestic and international festivals
- Production of the long documentary "Ghamar Taj" from 2014 to 2024
- The movie "Coagulation," which is currently going through the technical stages of post-production in 2024

The documentary film "Ending" participated in more than ninety foreign and domestic festivals and received several prestigious international awards:
