As the Taliban tighten control over Afghan women’s lives, a few brave women find ways to resist. In secret, they share their dreams and struggles with an Iranian filmmaker determined to bring their voices to the world.

In search of the lost voice of Soraya, in a land where women’s voices are hushed, Taees, an ethnomusicologist, travels to Khorasan, Iran where, she meets four women singers from four generations who are trying to make their songs last despite society’s and the state’s disdain.
