  • In a remote village where unspoken rules forbid any interference with nature, a nine-year-old boy named Koushyar dares to break tradition to save injured storks. His repeated pleas to care for a few birds clash with his father’s authority—a butcher who knows only two things: how to kill animals and how to watch war news on television. His older brother also opposes him, believing that the young storks might spread disease and harm their turkeys.

Yet Koushyar, guided by a simple and innocent heart, remains determined to help the chicks, despite his family’s indifference and the scorn of others. He faces storms, the threat of wild animals, dangerous farm chemicals, and deadly power lines, but refuses to give up. Although moral and environmental challenges continue to rise, an invisible force—a deep sense of love—drives him forward.

In the end, Koushyar manages to save one stork, which builds its nest near his home and raises new life. Still, the cruelty of nature persists: more than twenty-three other storks die from poisons and hazards. Through this journey, Koushyar becomes a guardian of nature, and in return, nature becomes a guardian of him.
